About Dr. White
Dr. Alexander White is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) specializing in knee, shoulder, and elbow conditions in athletes and active patients of all ages. A former Division I lacrosse player and USILA Scholar All-American at Harvard University, Dr. White brings an athlete’s perspective to patient care, emphasizing accurate diagnosis, honest conversations, and individualized treatment plans designed around each patient’s goals. He completed both his orthopedic surgery residency and sports medicine fellowship at HSS, training with world leaders in knee and shoulder surgery, and served as an Assistant Team Physician for the New York Football Giants, FDNY Bravest, and New York City’s Public School Athletics League (PSAL).
